Sorry I haven't been online
all the time like I used to be. XD~ Looks like the next two months hold more of the same... I'll still try to comment occasionally 'cuz I miss the online buddies. And the general fanning over Goemon stuffs. I know what my next 3 deviations'll be... two are already started.
So, I've been working two jobs the past while, earning overtime and also mucho dinero in the magical mountain place while feeling miserable for lack of free time. I don't regret this summer at all, though! Now Canyon Lodge is closed until next summer, and I've done my part to help with closing... I'm free at last!

The only depressing thing now will be parting ways with my sister (my best friend for life). She'll be making her home in North Carolina, and me... I'll be taking the trusty steed (97 Corolla) on a roadtrip to explore Alaska and Canada, before winter sets in up there. These northern places are the stuff of my dreams (huge understatement there) and I'm really looking forward to this (another understatement).
Then I'll dip back into the lower 48 and spend some time in the western scenery that I already know I love, the deserts, the plains, and the Rockies. And ideally return home around the beginning of December, depending on how my budget holds out. I'll take advantage of free and cheap camping to help the budget... and stay at the occasional hotel. I'll get online when I can to keep in touch!
I'll miss Yellowstone (again)... you can hear the elk bugling every night lately and it's a surreal sound. And some small critter tried to make it's home in the trunk of my car, but I think I've thwarted it.

I'm kicked out of the employee dorms tommorrow but will probably camp in the area and utilize the employee wi-fi, showers, laundry and so forth for a couple days at the locations here that are still open.
I'm really thankful to be able to dodge boredom a little while longer! A decent paycheck is a godsend.

...and lots of other bad stuff, too! >: (

"Madame, that is the ugliest nose I have ever seen, and I complement you on it; it suits you."
...And then I'll totally get sucked into a television. And thrown into a really scary dark pit. Life's not fair, really...
As for you... I wish you the best. Those tough classes sound soul-killing. Hopefully, having the world's most awesome girlfriend should help you make it through. She is the most awesome person ever, after all!
Hmmm... you know, if you gave me a mailing address sometime soon, I could send you postcards from the road, but you don't have to. If you did, you could note it to me so that it wouldn't be public. It's up to you.
They really are brutal, I've never felt this consistently drained and miserable during any of my other semesters...Though, you're right, the awesome girlfriend is definitely helping me a lot. Heh, and I'm glad you at least agree with me that she's the most awesome person ever.
I'll do that! Expect a note within the next few minutes...
Ohh my... SUZAKU!! Nice webcam's pic!!

"In the name of progress, of practical and the perfect iconic figure".
Heheh, thanks. I had fun drawing that- she's a fun one to draw, in general.

HUGBEEES!
It was the funnest drive of my life, and the longest (somewhere over 4,000 miles, I think...). It still haunts my dreams in the best way possible. And now, I've only got two weeks left in Yellowstone (we close up this location (Canyon), for the winter on September 27th)!
How's life for you, lately?
